Summer Project 2021 (Brief Explanation)
The Summer Project exist to train next generation leaders. In the past, we have done this through an 8 day/ 7 night mission experience in different inner cities in the U.S. (See Video “B” Below) It had started with a Friday through Sunday in-house training, and a Sunday through Thursday on the field training, closing with a Friday morning celebration prior to their departure to their number one mission field, their home. Each evening of the on-the-field segment, we continued with in-house worship and word. By God’s grace, we have attempted to marry conference training with field training. THIS YEAR, HOWEVER, DUE TO OUR CURRENT CLIMATE, WE HAVE MODIFIED THE PROCESS. For safety reasons, we have condensed this mission trip timeframe to a 5 day/4 night experience; as we did in 2020 (See Video “A” Above). Monday night, July 12th, will be our kick-off rally following a 4pm registration. Tuesday, July 13th, will be a day of training. Wednesday and Thursday, July 14th-July 15th, will be days of on the field ministry. Friday morning, July 16th, will be our closing celebration prior to the departure for their #1 mission field, their home.

There are two options to prayerfully choose from: first, you can come in person. We will ask you to take temp(s) of your team prior to your departure from your church, and each day at The Project. We will also social distance by youth groups during worship and meals. There will still be opportunity for interaction with all groups. Your group will sleep in a room with no other groups. Mask, although not required, will be available. In addition, we will do ministry differently than in 2019, and much like in 2020. Ministry will not be face to face, but will be heart to heart… singing outside of nursing home windows (with permission), leaving care packages door to door with the gospel inclosed, taking food boxes to single parents, creating care packages for children with cancer and their parents, and more!
All the prep work/logistics of finding locations to do ministry, sleep, and eat are done for you! The cost of this option is $185 per student/sponsor. One key youth leader per group can bring their spouse and their children at no cost. We hope this helps their family to serve together as we know the summer in the life of a youth leader has them away from home often.
Second, churches can also participate from their hometown. You can do so by joining in the above mentioned schedule via livestream with all worship, training, and preaching. In addition, we will have interaction between all churches and lodging site(s) through technology. This will allow us to do Kingdom work together, pray for one another, and hear great stories of what God is doing through this tremendous generation. If God leads you to this option, you will be responsible for your meals, sleeping arrangements, and types of ministry you’ll do locally. The cost for this option is $30 per student/sponsor. This will provide a t-shirt, worship, training, preaching, and the interaction of other churches and lodging sites to network. We want students to know that their generation is on the move in Kingdom work.
