Packing List

We have a dress code on One Team International trips.  This dress code exists for three reasons. One, the people we will minister to know we represent: Jesus.  Two, we want to allow the minds of your missionaries to remain as pure as possible.  We want to do everything we can to allow your students to succeed in all areas.  Three, we want to keep your students safe.  If students, dress inappropriately it could draw attention to them from the areas we serve that could potentially put them in harm’s way.  Please know that we trust you as a leader and the heart of your students, as well.  We are not going to slap against the wall of legalism, but we do want to flee from the appearance of evil and stay within the Biblical balance of modest dress.  Therefore, these guidelines are firm because we operate on the principal:  God first, safety first.

- No mini-skirts; backless dresses; off the shoulder dresses

Sleepwear

Even though all men and women will be sleeping on separate areas and separate quarters we will still require each individual to wear t-shirt and shorts or modest pajamas at night.

Things not to Bring:

- ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT – includes personal music devices (smart phones etc.), personal video game equipment

- VALUABLE ARTICLES - such as jewelry, expensive clothes, etc.

- ALCOHOL, DRUGS, TOBACCO

- Student can bring cell phones if allowed by their Youth Pastor/Leader.  These cell phones, however, can only be used to call mom or dad. Not girlfriend, or boyfriend, etc.   Please…no texting.  We live in a day that parents specifically send a cell phone with their child for contact and safety.  We understand the importance of this.  However, the cell phones can become a distraction.  Therefore, we ask each Youth Pastor/Leader to monitor their usage.  Thanks.

- NO t-shirts with any alcohol, tobacco, or questionable slogans

Again, please know that we trust your leadership and your students, but because of our God First, Safety First policy, if we see any student that is dressed inappropriately we will kindly come to you as their youth leader and see how you would prefer it be dealt with.  (i.e. you can go and ask them to change or if it is better for you, we can go and kindly ask them.)  Thank you for being so understanding and a team player. as well.  Let’s all pray together that God will allow us to starve the flesh and feed the spirit on this missions endeavor.
